Yesterday we started with the element Air, today we go and look for something to represent the element Water.
Remember, the most important thing is to pick something that is meaningful to you.
Water may appear gentle but it contains an immense potential power. It cleanses, heals and is calming. It is also the element of emotion, love, pleasure, introspection and intuition.
Some ideas of what you can use to represent the Water element: Traditional: chalice Water Wine Crystals ball Scrying bowl Seashell Seaweed Driftwood Aquamarine Lapis Lazuli Ankh Images of the sea or ocean, rivers, lakes The symbol of water Blue candle Poseidon Yemaya Aphrodite Mermaids Fish Dolphin Frog Ace of Cups
Purification Protection Bath To use before you perform a ritual working with spirits or when you feel blocked
What you need: 1 cup of sea/epsom salt 2 cups of boiling water 10 bay leaves 2 tablespoons of anise seeds
Boil two cups of water and add the anise seeds and the bay leaves. Allow to simmer on a lower fire for about five minutes. Remove from the heat and let it cool down a bit. While this is cooling down you can fill your bath with warm water and the salt. First of all you stir the bath three times counterclockwise. This is for banishing things. Then you stir three times clockwise to attract luck and protection. Hold your hands above the bath and picture a bright light that purifies. Then strain the infusion of the bay leaves and anise seeds and add the water to the bath. While you take your bath you imagine washing away all the negative things and envision a protective shield around you. Be careful: do not stay in the bath for too long because the infusion is strong and might irritate your skin if you are sensitive.
